NewMed Immediate Care can treat a wide range of non-life-threatening conditions, including sprains, strains, minor burns, lacerations, ear infections, and respiratory illness. Warning signs of an emergency include:
- Chest pain or signs of a heart attack lasting two minutes or longer
- Sudden numbness, weakness, or other signs of a stroke
- Severe shortness of breath
- Heavy bleeding that doesn’t stop after 10 minutes of direct pressure
- Major injuries, head trauma, or loss of consciousness
- High fever (104°F or higher) in a child, or any fever in an infant under 6 months
